From the Guest book at Owlden, Haslemere

Arthur was the last of 9 children born in Owlden.
Now aged 86 he was born in 1892.
His mother remembered Tennyson in cloak & slouch Hat "Wide awake cap" striding along the footpath which then ran along the ditch between our fields & and crossed into Surrey.
Bicknell's Father was a woodsma to Sir Richard Garton, who looked over the Leigth Hill estate of which Owlden and it's land was then part.

On gravestone in St Bartholomews Church, Haslemere, Surrey

Gone but not forgotten.
Dear husband I have left thee and much I wished to go to the land prepared by christ for us, where joy forever flows.
It was his will to take me and take away my pain
and that I trust my prayers were not offered up in vain

From Gravesone in St Bartholomews Church, Haslemere, Surrey.

We have to mourn the loss of those we did our best to save.
Beloved on earth, remembered in their grave.
In death they were not divided.

Master Tailors George and James ran the business together from 1873.
From Kelly's Directory 1889 James was no longer in the business thus when
George died in 1917 Charles was on war work at Barnstable building concrete
boats and my father Ralph was in France with the Royal Artillary so from
Kelly's Directory 1919 Archibald was in at 101 High St .
The only Archibald I can trace is the grandson of George's elder brother
William Henry Prawl who moved to Swansea between 1851&1855.
